Vista Street Repair

Attention Vista Neighbors. Due to the face that the City of Vallejo will be starting their slurry street repair project and the bid to do the work came in under-bid, the City will be able to repair/slurry more areas than previously thought. I am driving around the Vista making notes of all the holes and damaged in our roads. I would appreciate it if you notice a damaged portion on your street, please let me know the location and I will add it to the list that I will be sending to the City of Vallejo Maintenance Department. Please do your best to describe exactly where it is (i.e. in front of /near what street address.) If it happens not to be in front of a house, give me the best cross streets (please state North/South/East/ West side of Street, please also describe the damaged and your best estimate of the size of the damage in inches.) Example, there is a hole forming in the asphalt in front of 326 El Camino Real, approximately 24"x 18" it is a tripping and tire damage hazzard.
Please also let me know if any of your street lamps are "kaput." Please get the number off of the pole, and also give me the name of the street it is on. It will do no good to tell me the street the pole is located on, without the pole number.

Giant Vista Garage Sale June 7th

Attention all Vista neighbors: Save the date of June 7th, 2008 8am-3pm for the Vista Garage Sale! The Events Committee will be providing signs, advertising and maps of the homes on the sale. Maps will be available the day of the sale at Zoey June's Gift shop as well as at a few homes on the garage sale route.
The Benica-Vallejo Humane Society will be picking up donations after 4 p.m. Please only donate items that can be resold at their thrift shop. Please no non-working electronics, personal hygiene items, guns etc. Please clearly mark all items to be picked up by the BVHS, we dont want them to have to knock on each door wondering what you are donating.
If you would like to participate, please write your name and address on a piece of paper, indicate if you will be donating your "end of day items" to the BVHS, included a $5.00 donation and drop off or mail to Julie Lyons, Events Committee Chair, 326 El Camino Real. For questions, contact Julie Lyons at artdecolady@sbcglobal.netThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
This is always a fun event, and by the looks of it we are already having a large turn-out of homes, so this year will exceed last years event with more than 50 homes!
Lets have fun!!!
