Vista Neighborhood Association Newsletter July 2007 Volume 2, Issue 1

Hi Everyone, Well it’s time for our General Meeting and we have had to change the date from August 7th to August 14th. The change was made due to National Night Out on which the VNA will be having a block party on the 200 block of El Camino Real. Please make plans to attend to get a chance to meet your officers, neighbors and friends. There will be games for the kids, food, live music and fun for every age. We are requesting $5.00 per person donation and a side dish that would feed at least 4 people. Come join the fun!

We had a very successful Vista Garage Sale. Special thanks needs to go to Julie Lyons and the Events committee for organizing it. The Benicia Vallejo Humane Society was also a great help by picking up goods not sold at the individual garage sales. According to Peter Wilson, a neighbor and Director of the Humane Society, they have had quite a bit of success from the sale of these items.

Things have been pretty good in the neighborhood, but we have had a problem with some auto break-ins in the 200 and 300 blocks of El Camino Real. Please be conscious of strangers in the area and don’t leave anything in the car of any value. I hope to see you all at the Neighborhood party on August 7th and at the General Meeting on August 14th.
