Vista Newsletter Summer 2008

As we move through summer, things are close to the same in the neighborhood. There has been a drop in minor problems, but an increase in incidences such as: doors being kicked open and burglaries. I do suggest that we tell our neighbors when we are going away on vacation. Therefore, if you see something or someone in the area that you don’t think belongs there, let the police know. I spoke to the Police Chief and he agreed that we need to keep a vigilant eye out for our neighbors; it is the most important thing we can do to try to keep this down. Most of you are aware that I send out Neighborhood Alerts via e-mail when one of our neighbors sends me any information on anything suspicious. I suggest that you give me your e-mail address and I will add it to my list. My e-mail address is suzricky@pacbell.net.This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Anything that I forward has your name and address removed so it is anonymous.

On a lighter note, remember that August 5th is National Night Out, and we will be having our annual block party on the 200 block of El Camino Real. Please get back to Julie Lyons with your RSVPs, so we know how much food and related items to get. We will again have entertainment by the Raymond Victor Band, so please come to the fun. We will also be having a short, and I do mean short, annual meeting that night. Thank you again for all the support and nice comments I have received from members of the neighborhood.
