Neighborhood Alert

Hi, Rick & Julie --
Just received the Vista newsletter. I live on N. Camino, and last week, someone robbed my Pontiac Vibe while it was in my driveway. I won't say the thief "broke in" because I may have left it unlocked. The car does have an alarm system. The thief got my loose change, emergency flashlight, and tool box. The car is backed up against the garage door, making the items in the hatch area inconvient to reach. A few days later, I found my truck alarm had been set off.
I contacted my neighbors. Whereas they had not seen or heard anything, the one neighbor on N. Camino Alto reported his recyling had been stolen and someone had attempted to break into his side garage door and set off the alarm.
These attempts, of course, are happening on the side away from the neighbors who own dogs. My house does have an alarm system which is set everytime I leave.
Goes without saying -- someone is watching the neighborhood & knows who is home & who is not.

  1. I live on N. Camino Alto and my neighbor and I discovered that someone jumped our shared fence last week, tuesday night most likely, and did damage to the fence. I found items in my yard relating to this on Thursday and filed a police report and also turned in all the evidence I found in my yard. We know it happened at night, but no one heard anything. This really frightened us- especially my kids who sleep in the back of our house. We also have dogs and an alarm, but that didn't keep them out of our yards!
